Woman Charged with Arson in Accomack County, VA

Thanks to the joint, hardworking efforts of the Accomack County Sheriffâ€™s Office, State Police apprehended an Eastern Shore resident early this morning and charged her in connection with an arson set Monday night in Melfa.Tonya S. Bundick, 40, of Parksley, was taken into custody without incident following a traffic stop just after midnight Tuesday morning near an arson set at a vacant residence on Airport Drive in Melfa.
This fire was discovered at 11:40 p.m. Monday night.
Thanks to the immediate response of the Melfa Volunteer Fire Department, the fire was quickly extinguishedâ€¦causing minimal damage to the structure.
Bundick has been charged with one felony count of arson and one felony count conspiracy to commit arson.
She is being held without bond at the Accomack County Jail.
The investigation remains ongoing at this time.
