Third Annual Hot Sauce & Oyster Fest Brings Oysters, Music, and Zombies to Downtown Cambridge on October 19 and 20, 2013

Crabi Gras sponsors this fast-growing Shore tradition; blues sensation Tom Principato, The Gypsy Collective, Uncle Ward, Bird Dog & The Road Kings; and Kentavius Jones to be featured.

Sweet bivalves from the Bay and hot capsaicin from chili peppers will rule the day at this Dorchester County Festival! The oysters will be prepared however you like—raw, fried, fritters, oyster tacos, oyster stew, or down the famous festival ice luge. And there will be over 100 hot sauces available for tasting and dabbing on your oysters.

Set for a one-ish kick-off on Saturday afternoon, the party will roll till eight-ish on Saturday and then from noon-ish to five-ish on Sunday. Held in Cannery Way park in the 400 block of Race Street in downtown Cambridge, the event features music, food, libations, and a bottomless supply of the title attractions! Hamburgers, hot dogs, French fries, and other tasty delights will also be on the menu.

The Cambridge-based business Crabi Gras, 432 Race Street, is organizing the event. Owner Keith Graffius has announced an amazing lineup of bands. On Saturday, the Hot Sauce & Oyster Festival will feature Uncle Ward, The Gypsy Collective, and international blues sensation Tom Principato. On Sunday local legends Bird Dog and the Road Kings and rising star Kentavius Jones rule the festival stage.

“We work tirelessly to bring the best in local and national music to our Crabi Gras festivals, and this year’s Hot Sauce & Oyster Festival is no exception,” says Keith Graffius, the owner of the specialty spice and flavor shop with locations in Cambridge and Easton.

This years festival also takes on the fun and popular zombie craze! There will be zombie face paintings and if you come to the festival dressed as a zombie you get in free of charge!!!

The Festival is a ticketed event. Your $5 admission helps support the nonprofit Cambridge Main Street.
