Talisman Therapeutic Riding will combine beauty, culture, tradition and of course, a Run for the Roses this Derby Day at its fifth annual benefit party on May 7, 2016

Visitors will be treated to a trip back in time as they enter the beautiful, historic Manor House, dating back to 1934 the year Calvalcade and jockey Mack Garner won the big race. Ladies dressed in finely adorned hats and gentlemen in seersucker suits can sip mint julips while they soak in the old time atmosphere in the library, the ballroom and the gentleman’s bar. “Cally Ho,” the 215-year-old leather horse will also be on hand, lending a bit of local history to the Grasonville event.

Talisman riders will show off their skills and techniques in an afternoon demonstration on the grounds of the picturesque horse farm, nestled on Maryland’s Eastern Shore along the Chesapeake Bay.

Items like a unique sterling silver and onyx bracelet and a day with rare Paso Fino horses will be available at a live auction. A silent auction will offer many luxury items, tours and overnight adventures.

And of course, with all bets placed, the Kentucky Derby race will commence precisely at 6:34 pm!
Doors open at 4:00 and tickets can be purchased by calling the farm office at 443-239-9400 on at www.talismantherapeuticriding.org
