Delaware’s Capital Region Bridal Showcase Exhibitor Space Available

Exhibitor space is still available for the new Delaware Capital Region Bridal Showcase, sponsored by Kent County Tourism, set for Sunday, February 20, 2011 at the Holiday Inn in Dover.

“If prospective brides and couples are your market, now’s the time to secure your exhibitor space for this show,” said Kimberly Bailey-Thomas, Director of Convention Sales at Kent County Tourism. “This show’s goal is to bring more business to the hotels and the bridal-related industry in Kent County. We are limiting participating to only those doing business in Kent County so this truly is a local bridal show.”

The showcase is seeking exhibitors in various areas including wedding cakes, wedding coordinators, wedding and tuxedo fashions, jewelry, gifts, registries, honeymoons, catering, wedding venues, furnishings, tents and rental equipment and more.

To date, the following exhibitors have registered:
• Alex Vaughn Mobile Entertainment — Alex Vaughan is a full time, professional, Mobile DJ Entertainer with 24 years of experience. In addition to wedding entertainment, Alex Vaughan Mobile Entertainment provides services for parties, special events.

• Boscov’s — Bridal registry services including everything of quality for the new bride and groom from china and linens to home decor and accessories.

• C.M. Baker Photography — Professional photographer Mike Baker of Dover provides wedding packages to suit every budget. His services include portraiture, aerial photography, candid shots and more.

• Cook & Smith Florists — Cook & Smith has been a Dover landmark for more than 75 years with a full staff including wedding consultants on site.

• Delaware State News — Delaware’s capital city daily newspaper, the official newspaper sponsor of the Bridal Showcase, will be on hand to assist the betrothed couples with getting engagement and wedding announcements and photos published in their paper.

• Jet Set Travel, Dover — A professional American Express affiliated travel agency, located in Dover, providing everything from a weekend getaway, a honeymoon or destination wedding, a world cruise or a luxury vacation with reliable and professional service.

• Several hotels, including Holiday Inn of Dover, AmericInns of Harrington and Milford, Microtel Inn and Suites of Dover, Sheraton Dover Hotel, Holiday Inn Express in Dover, Sleep Inn & Suites in Dover, Comfort Inn in Dover and the Hampton Inn of Dover. Hoteliers will discuss wedding packages, opportunities for showers and bridal party getaways, bachelor and bachelorette events and more.

• The Travel Kase, Clayton — The Travel Kase is an Internet based business where individuals and businesses can book travel and buy travel related products or services. The site also includes a shopping portal with 700+ stores to choose from.

• The Wedding Boutique — Featuring wedding gowns, bridesmaid and flower girl apparel, groom and groomsmen, mother-of-the-bride fashions, honeymoon wardrobe and accessories. Fashions from The Wedding Boutique of Dover will be modeled during the strolling fashion show.

The show will be held at the Holiday Inn in Dover. Holiday Inn, newly renovated and promoting itself as a wedding and reception venue, is a premier partner. Premier vendors will have a opportunity to make presentations about their products.

One of the highlights of the event include strolling fashion shows coordinated by Erin Tinsley of Bel Boutique and Eric Cooper of the Duncan Center. A men’s lounge will be available for watching sports with snacks and a groom’s cake, and United Distributors will be on hand providing beer and liquor samples A cash bar will be available throughout the event, and several drawings and giveaways will be available.

The show is being marketed via press releases and on the Internet through popular bridal-related websites such as WedAlert.com. A paid e-blast from OurWeddingDay.com to 3,000+ potential brides is scheduled for the week of the show to boost attendance.
