Centreville Rotary Club Artisan’s Festival October 3 & 4, 2009
The Rotary Club of Centreville, Maryland will host their 38th annual Artisans Festival on Saturday and Sunday, October 3rd and 4th at the Queen Annes County 4-H Park. The park/fairgrounds are located on Route 18, four miles west of Centreville.
Over seventy artists and crafters from throughout the Delmarva Peninsula will be exhibiting a wide range of talents and treasures ranging from paintings, pottery and basketry to stained glass, wood carving, jewelry and much more. The show includes some of the finest decoy carvers on Marylands Eastern Shore.
In addition to the sale of art and craft items, there will be a number of interesting demonstrations, including wood carving and turning, cider making, bee keeping, llamas, and old fashioned shingle splitting. Childrens activities, good food, numerous antique cars and the opportunity to visit the Museum of Eastern Shore Life make for a fun and rewarding day for all ages. Hours are 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday Oct. 3 and 11:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 4. Admission is free, but donations are welcomed. All proceeds go to worthwhile charities, including youth scholarships, operation of the regional shelter for victims of domestic violence, participation in the Rotary worldwide project to eradicate polio and much more.
