Killens Pond State Park named top attraction by Kent County Delaware Tourism

DuPont Nature Center closed for winter, reopening April 1, 2016

The DuPont Nature Center at Mispillion Harbor Reserve has closed for the winter, and will reopen Friday, April 1, 2016 for the busy spring and summer seasons. The center is owned and operated by DNREC’s Division of Fish & Wildlife.

Some Delaware Campgrounds Closed Due to Joaquin

DNREC’s Division of Parks & Recreation has begun notifying campers at Cape Henlopen State Park, Delaware Seashore State Park (Indian River Inlet) and Trap Pond State Park near Laurel that campgrounds in the three parks will close at 8 a.m. Friday because of severe weather expected ahead of the possible arrival of Hurricane Joaquin.

Garrisons Lake north parking lot and footbridge open temporarily through October 4, 2015
