For National Safe Boating Week May 19-25, DNREC Boating Safety Office urges good safety practices

National Safe Boating Week

The Maryland Natural Resources Police (NRP) and local boat insurance provider, Jack Martin/Avon-Dixon, encourage the public to join them in wearing a lifejacket to work on Friday, May 18. The State initiative kicks off National Safe Boating Week, May 19 to 23, by raising awareness on the importance of these life saving devices.

Section of Atlantic Ocean Closed For Ocean City Boat Races On May 13

Six Delaware Downstate Ponds to be Treated for Aquatic Weeds

Sultana Projects Public Paddle Schedule for 2012

Sultana Projects has announced its Public Paddle Schedule for 2012, featuring eight Saturday kayak paddles between May and October on the Sassafras, Chester, and Choptank rivers. Led by Sultana Projects' veteran staff, each 2.5-hour paddle will focus on a particular inhabitant or feature of the river being paddled (see schedule below).
