The Maryland Park Service honored former Ranger Julie Schweikert by dedicating the Nature Center at Janes Island State Park in her name. An 18-year Maryland Park Service (MPS) veteran, Ranger Schweikert most recently served as park manager of the Somerset County State Park until her untimely death in 2009 at the age of 43. »
