Have you ever seen a farmer’s Combine up close? Well, picture a whole line of them, parked right downtown along Green Street in Snow Hill.

Add in farm animals, a city block loaded with agricultural themed games for children, lots of food, and live stage entertainment and you have the Blessing of the Combines.

Come join the folks of Snow Hill on Saturday, August 6th, for the 18th annual Blessing of the Combines from 11 to 3. Come early for easier parking and the bake sales and vendors that start as early as 9am.

This popular summer event honors the agricultural community while bringing more than 2000 festival goers into downtown Snow Hill.

Come check out all the craft vendors and food vendors along Bank Street and Green Street. There is still room for a few craft vendors and area organizations to participate in the festival if they desire. Contact Diana Nolte at 443-944-4402 or email to register.

Festivities begin on Green Street at 11:00 with live music and street activities. The Parade of Combines sets off down RT 12 to Green Street at 11:15. A “throttle thrust” will signal Master of Ceremonies, Steve Hales, to begin the program with the presentation of colors by the award-winning Snow Hill High School Junior Marine Corps ROTC. After recognitions, a keynote speaker, and the Blessing, the afternoon’s lineup of area musicians featuring the Michael Christopher Band ( will perform.

Children can visit a variety of animals at the Petting Barnyard, then hop aboard a wagon for a free hayride. There will also be free pony rides on Willow Street. There will be a Children’s Barnyard full of activities and the popular Children’s Tractor Pull as well as a Scales and Tales presentation from the Pocomoke River State Park.
